On May 21st we drove back up over the Bealach na Ba in rain and fog. The rain was subsiding by the time we reached Eileen Donan Castle where we stopped to stretch our legs. Then up beautiful Glen Shiel in a downpour. We had lunch at Invergarry and the rain let up enough to get a taste of the views from the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge. Quick stop in Fort William for shoe repair glue and then on to Glencoe and the Scorry Breac Guest House on the old Strathcona Estate. Map |
